Let's start with the good sides of this program

1) The Affiliate Junktion is a pay per lead program. You make people sign up, and get paid for every sign-ups made from your affiliate website or from your affiliate link. The payments start with $2 per lead, but increases as you start to make more leads - until you reach the maximum payment of $5 per lead.

2) You can join for free and start making money instantly. You get your own free affiliate website and some free promoting tools that make it easier to get started. What you get is about $155 in advertising credits with Google and Yahoo and some other free tools.

3) You don’t need to pay for joining, although you have to pay about $59 for the hosting plan with Ipower, but you get it all back when you sign up with Affiliate Junktion. They will give you $75 only for signing up.

4) Together with the website package you also get a training program that you have to work with. It is not very heavy stuff, although there are a lot of pages. It is important to work through the whole material before you start, in fact, it pays. You also get your own personal guide, the affiliate manager Michael is very helpful and answers all your questions.

5) Affiliate Junktion is a quite easy program and most people will manage to make money with this program. A program very suitable for newbies.

I have tried Affiliate Junktion for some time now and the nice side of this program is that they for the most actually keep what they promise. However, this program has also some bad sides:

The Bad Sides

1) Problem to get answer on mails. They promise personal guiding and support. This is only partly true, because very many complain that they don't get answer on their mails. Personally I usually I get an answer, but not always. It seems they have very many affiliates and they have not managed to find a good support solution. 

2) It is important to notice that Affiliate Junktion pays their affiliates in NZ dollars, and not in US dollars. NZ dollars are worth about 20% less than US dollars.

3) You need to be an active affiliate for 45 days before you get paid and you need to make at least $150 including your sign-up bonus to get paid at all. You get approved not for the present month, but for the preceding one. That means, the 30.june you get approved the leads you made in may. If you started to work 1.may, you will get your first payment the 30.june and that will include only the leads you made from 1-30.may.

4) Affiliate Junktion has no other payment option than check. That means that you will get your payment on a check sent by post. It may take several days before you get your payment.

5) But it is even worse that they don't approve your earnings  before the end of the next month. Your payment is pending until the end of the next month and you can never be sure how much of it will be approved. That makes it very difficult to calculate how much you can spend on advertising. Even if it looks quite profitable, you may got a surprise in the end of next month.

The reason for this is that Affiliate Junktion makes money as affiliate for Ipower. When somebody signs up for a hosting plan and a domain with Ipower, Affiliate Junktion get paid $100. $75 they give back to the new affiliate as a sign-up bonus and $2-$5 goes to the referrer.

However, it is possible to make money with this program, in fact it is quite easy. You only have to be very careful with your advertising budget.  Don't spend money on expensive Google campaigns. They are very effective, but you never know how much you get paid. There are several alternatives. You should also consider to use some of the smaller Pay Per Click companies, like Yahoo or Miva. They have less competition and advertising campaigns are often more profitable than with Google.

Conclusion: Affiliate Junktion is an easy program to manage, it is easy to get started, it is free and everybody can make money with this program. But be very careful with advertising, don't spend a lot of money on that, be careful and don't believe what you have earned before you see what you get approved.
